(we recommend 6 weeks at this level before moving up).\nImprovers/intermediate: This class is suitable for improver-level dancers onwards and will teach you turn patterns with a strong focus on great technique and connection. We love teaching you the tricks for keeping your dancing controlled and getting you ready for busy dance floors!\n**Party:**\nFrom 20.30 the party will be kicking off! DESCRIPTION:Ran Kan Kan are back! (after a 6-month break) with an evening of live music from the golden years of Cuban big bands\, playing funky mambos\, son montuno and rumba\, for you to dance to. \nThe evening kicks off with a dance class\, led by the charismatic Ariel Rios\, to get you in the mood to shake your stuff\, Cuban-style. \nCowley Workers’ Social Club will groove to music and rhythms from the era of Buena Vista Social Club\, Tito Puente and other salsa giants\, brought to you by Ran Kan Kan\, Oxford’s 20-piece Cubanista big band. Lead singers Karla Pena\, Melisa Akdogan and Diego Villalobos are supported by virtuoso brass and woodwind\, funky violin and complex and syncopated Latin rhythms from a 6-piece rhythm section. \nAriel Rios will DJ between sets and through to midnight. \nBe warned – you will want to dance. \nRunning order (all approx)\nDoors open 7:30pm\n8pm – Cuban dance class – Ariel Rios\nRan Kan Kan will play two sets\, from around 9pm and 10:30pm respectively \nCheaper Early Bird tickets will be available until two weeks before the show (Saturday 22nd November) so get yours today! \nTICKETS

DESCRIPTION:Celebrate the end of 2025 with the ¡Muévete! team! \nWe’re launching a brand new matinée Salsa party at the Westgate Library\, starting on the 7th December. \nStarting with a salsa class at 5pm with multiple levels from the ¡Muévete! team\, and completely friendly for beginners. We’ll then dance until 9pm to a mix of salsa (70%)\, Bachata and Kizomba (30%) from DJs Julian Summers and Gwyneth Anne. \nEntrance £8 (or £6 for OUSS members). \nImportant things to note: \n\nThis is an alcohol-free event. Water is available but please bring your own bottle.\nToilets are found on the 1st floor. Please leave them clean and tidy.\nThe library itself is not open on Sundays but you can enter through the main library door at the entrance to the Westgate\, tell security that you’re here for Salsa and they’ll send you up\nParking is available in the Westgate centre itself\nBeware Oxford’s new congestion charge\, in operation 7am-7pm\n\nYou can buy your ticket in advance below!
